INTRODUCTION

 

Kedarnath this trek would be the only one which lies at the top list not for youngsters but also for the senior citizens. Trekkings  usually calm our nerves but kedarnath will calm your soul. Some people travel to kedarnath for enjoyment but many for their beliefs and devotion. Kedarnath trek offers you a full combination of snow capped  mountain peaks, rocky trails and divine flowing cool water. 

 

Usually one can complete this trek in a day but believe me you will not regret it if you expand this beautiful trek. Kedarnath is one of  the devotional places among the char dhams. You will definitely enjoy the spiritual aura and spell bounding nature. It is considered as the most powerful lord shiva temple.  

 

GEOGRAPHY 

 

It is located at Garhwal Himalayan range There are many spans for travelling to kedarnath like in summer from april to june. Which is a warm season temperature ranging from 15 to 30 ℃. You can travel from October to March where temperature varies between 0-20℃. 

 

Kedarnath suffers from extreme weather conditions so the temple remains closed in winter. Doors open at the end of april. Kedarnath is among 12 jyotirlingas, where we devote ourselves to lord shiva. Altitude of kedarnath is 3583 metres, which is 11ooo feet. 

 

It is near a glacier named Chorabari Glacier. This glacier is the source of Mandakini river.The snow-capped mountain of main Kedarnath and Kedar dome are two prime mountains of the Gangotri group of peaks which forms the western Garhwal Himalayan.

 

Starting point 

 

Starting point of this fabulous trek is gaurikund, from where you will start your trek. To reach gaurikund you can hire a cab or reach by share taxi.

From gaurikund you will take a deep breath and start your journey. Always remember journeys are more beautiful than the destination but don’t you worry here journey as well as destination both are mind blowing.

 

First stop 

 

For the first stop you have to reach jungle chatti, for that you have to trek through Rambara bridge. You have to walk through a trail for about four kilometres. In these four hour you will experience many stunning views and nature will be your forever companion.

 

Second stop 

 

Second stop would be bheem bali which will be three kilometres from Jungle Chatti. You will come across many unforgettable memories. You can collect many photos for your after journey. You will get tired with this exhaustible high altitude trek, pull your socks and enjoy the aura of nature and start your trek. You can also take a stay if it gets dark.

 

Third stop 

 

Early in the morning restart your trek from Bheem Bali to Linchauli which is four kilometres from the last stop. You can also get your accommodations in Linchauli. Taking a rest is the best option because you will start fresh and the night view will be gorgeous in the mountains.  

 

Fourth stop 

 

Your second last stop would be at Kedarnath base camp, you will observe numerous campsites along the path at kedarnath base camp. Take some breath over here, have some tea and enjoy the blissed view, capture some memories, fill your bottle with cool water and sit for a while glaring at the flowing water. Your fourth stop will be four kilometres from Linchauli. 

 

Final destination

 

Your last and the awaited destination will be one kilometres from the kedarnath base camp. Here you will experience trekking in snow and you will enjoy it a lot. After so much effort you will reach the most beautiful and divine temple known for its mind blowing surroundings.

Here you will lose your soul completely but we promise you will definitely gain something more precious. Kedarnath is the destination one should travel at least once in life. Kedarnath will never disappoint you and will fill your heart with joyous memories.

Before trekking to kedarnath make sure you are physically as well as mentally healthy. Get your check up done. Start packing your bag precisely and pack the needed things only. The first thing is health, so do not forget to keep your medical kit in your bag. 

You should practise a daily routine of walking and jogging. Because walking and jogging use the same muscles as for trekking.

 

After all these exertions you will be euphoric and pleasured. Exhilarating would be at peak level and there would be hundreds of stories to tell to your loved ones and if there is something you want to wish for, you should definitely pray for it.
